Delete your Arborbase account

In the app, which takes about a minute

1. Open Arborbase and sign in.
2. Go to My Account.
3. Choose Delete account.
4. Read the summary of what will happen and confirm.

You do not need to contact us, and you do not need to ask an administrator.

By email, if you cannot sign in

Write to info@arbcura.com from the email address on the account, with the subject Delete my Arborbase account. We will verify that the request comes from the account holder and then perform the deletion for you. We respond within 30 days and usually much sooner.

If you write from a different address we will ask you to confirm ownership of the account another way, because deleting somebody else's account on the strength of an email would be worse than the inconvenience of asking.

What is deleted immediately

• Your name, email address, phone number, profile photo and report profile
• Copies of your name stored elsewhere in your organisation's records
• Your saved settings and preferences
• Your ability to sign in, which ends the moment the deletion is confirmed

What is kept, and for how long

Your account, for 30 days, in a disabled state. During this window an administrator of your organisation can restore it. After 30 days it is removed permanently by a scheduled job. This is a restoration window, not open-ended storage, and nothing extends it.

The work you recorded stays with your organisation. Trees, notes, proposals and completed jobs remain, listed against an anonymous internal ID instead of your name. Your organisation continues to need the tree inventory you built for it. We state this plainly because "delete my account" sounds like "delete everything I did", and here those are different things.

Four kinds of record keep your name, because the law requires it. Records that must say who performed the work: pesticide applications, confirmed worksites, reviewed legal sources, and saved revisions of compliance records. These exist to be evidence, and evidence that cannot name its author is not evidence. They stay with your organisation, which means they last as long as it does. If you were its only member, they are deleted with it after 30 days, so take them from the export we send you. We are not an archive for your compliance records.

Aggregate view counts are kept and identify nobody. They contain a count, a timestamp and a one-way hashed key, with no identifier and no content, so they cannot be traced back to you, your organisation or a property.

Ordinance lookups keep the place and not the person. The postal code, jurisdiction, ordinance number and time are retained; your user ID and the property and report they related to are cleared when your account is deleted.

If you are the only person in your organisation

Deleting your account also deletes the organisation and everything in it: clients, properties, trees, photographs, proposals and invoices. You do not need to transfer ownership to somebody else first, and working alone does not prevent you from leaving.

Before anything is removed, we build a complete export and email you a link. It contains a full copy of every record, spreadsheets of your clients, properties, trees and proposals, and a list of every photograph with a download link. The link stays valid for the full 30 days, the same window the data itself has, so it cannot expire while there is still something to download.

The organisation follows the same 30 day schedule: restorable for 30 days, then removed permanently.

If you want to leave without closing the organisation

If you are the account holder and other people are still working in the organisation, you can transfer that role to another member from the user list first, then delete your own account. The organisation and all its records continue unaffected.
